Introducing: Reverend Gale, Guest Contributor to The Quiet American…

Matty James Gale is a wealthy man by trailer park standards-he owns two cars, and one is a BMW. Do not let the fact that the Beemer only cost six-hundred bucks deceive you, he is a heavy hitter in the trailer park.

With a gangster swagger, he strolls through pristine grounds of The Ritz Carlton, Prevelly Hills (AKA The Prevelly Caravan Park) with swagger that would cause Jay-Z to stop in his tracks and think about the meaning life. In fact, Reverend Gale had to change his last name to Gale because his old surname could not handle the swagger overload.

In his Old Life as a hip-hop radio show host, he once blew up the speakers belonging to listeners in three separate states. Modern speaker technology cannot handle the low frequency subsonic vibrations which his voice emits when he says “that’s ill, mo’fo.” The new surname serves as a warning of possibly dangerous levels of swagger, “I chose Gale, ‘cause I’m like a Gale force wind. Ya got that pimpin’?” he once said to David Brinkley in an Interview. His swagger is legendary with the ladies as well.

Reverend Gale, or

His swagger sends surging waves through the trailer park as he walks down its red gravel paths, spreading out behind him like the wake of a giant super tanker cutting through the sea of swagger at full speed. “What’s up pimpin’?” is his trademark greeting. He speaks with authority.

The Reverend Gale often reminds those who will listen that he grew up on the mean streets of Detroit, and he loves to tell stories from the mean streets of Motown. He is famous for wearing expensive Italian suits out on the town, and flipping the bird to every bouncer in front of every door of every club that he passes as he walks down the streets of the Motor City’s nightlife district. Reverend Gale hates bouncers. Never mind the fact that The Reverend Gale is actually from Windsor, Ontario, Canada, he’s as tough as Detroit’s icy, unmaintained streets, and he is here to share his swagger with you in a series entitled:Reverend Gale’s Firsts: A Series of Stories About “My Pimpin’ Firsts.”

Reverend Gale only writes about the first time he does something, because “a second time just ain’t his thing.” Subscribe to The Quiet American at the bottom of this page, so you can have the Reverend Gale’s Firsts emailed to straight to your inbox.
